Abu Dhabi, 17 November 2013: The UAE Banks Federation has launched a new website to reflect its growing level of activity and co-ordination with its 50 member banks. The platform aims to provide public access to information about the Federation’s role and work, as well as documents and announcements that it is issuing on a regular basis.
The website also aims to provide to customers of banks operating in the UAE with a greater understanding of the work being done to ensure that service standards and levels of behavior they can expect meet internationally recognised benchmarks.
The website will also bring into one place information and updates about the UAE banking sector, and the activities of banks in supporting the UAE economy and its community.
Commenting on the new website, H.E AbdulAziz Al Ghurair, Chairman of the UAE Banks Federation said, “We are trying to increase the transparency of what the Federation does and what it stands for. Through our regular discussions with member banks we produce a wide range of data and other information and so far as possible we want to make this available to the public through our new website. We have worked hard to make sure that it is simple to navigate and offers a wealth of information on the Federation’s key roles and activities”.
